CR South High School Athletics Information
Are you going to play a Fall Sport at CR South for the 2025-2026 school year? If yes, please read below for important information.
Parents and students should look out for emails from my CRSD email address (abbie.predmore@crsd.org) over the summer regarding ATS, PIAA paperwork, and concussion testing for CR South athletics. This will be sent to the primary contact in ATS not the secondary contact, and all CRS students (2029-2026 class years) to their CRSD email once the ATS system is reset for the next school year.
All PIAA physicals (PIAA Section 6 form) to be valid for the 2025/2026 school year must have been completed by a physician after May 1st, 2025. I cannot accept any forms that were completed prior to that date, and as of April 30th, 2024, physicals from the 2024/2025 school year will be considered expired. ATS forms Sections 2-5 also cannot be completed until after the ATS system is ready in June 2025.
Only the PIAA Section 6 form will be accepted for the physical form. The Pennsylvania Health form will NOT be accepted.
Fall athletics at CR South begin prior to when they would at Holland Middle. To be cleared to participate in football in the fall, all paperwork PIAA sections 2-6, and concussion testing must be completed by the first day of heat acclimation on Monday August 4th, 2025. All other fall sports (golf, girls’ volleyball, soccer, field hockey, girls’ tennis, cross country, fall cheerleading) paperwork must be completed by the first day of tryouts on Monday August 11th, 2025.
If Athletes don’t have their forms and applicable concussion testing completed, they will not be cleared to participate. Winter and Spring sports need their paperwork completed at later points in the school year, if a student would like to participate in off season workouts for out of season sports, paperwork is not needed.
Remember, athletics begin much later at Holland Middle so if due to insurance reasons, etc. parents can’t get their child in for a physical by those start dates, we always suggest to athletes to go to the CVS minute clinic as they complete Sports Physicals in a walk in as needed basis and it is a cash-based service. Unfortunately, if an athlete's physical appt date is after the beginning of tryouts, until the form is submitted and verified with the valid dates they cannot participate until then which can cause them to miss tryouts.
